The initial inspiration for this watercolor illustration project originates from a series of photographs I recently took of my boy having fun on a swing. Shooting this fun and joyful moment from a low angle, with the sun already low and behind him and flash triggering to open up shadows, gave these pictures a unique commposition, balance and dynamism.

It made sense to draw from the unique qualities and originality of those pictures and try something different. This illustration artwork was created in Photoshop using a few awesome pencil and watercolor brushes by renowned illustrator Kyle T. Webster.
